The Forgotten Friend

The story introduces how a rare friendship without self-interest can be a warming experience. The story starts with a birthday invitation of a ten-year-old girl to her home party and sleep-over night at her place.

Seven girls were invited to stay over for the night and attend Judy's party. Carelessly, Judy forgot to invite one of her childhood friend, Sarah.

Judy was embarrassed and felt bad to see her good friend, Sarah arriving to her door, sending her the birthday present. She had a mixed feelings: regret for her careless mistake, embarrassed for getting the present that she wasn't deserved.

I think the story is a simple one. But it tells how friendship needs to be free of self-interest.
